A single father takes his young adult twin son and daughter on a boating holiday to Poros, secretly planning for them to meet their birth mother who abandoned them when they were very young. The languid summer days, bright sun and calming island colors reveal nothing of the dramatic tension to come. When the reunion takes place, a show of toxic masculinity shifts the focus from the twins to the father, exposing the family’s emotional state and everyone’s need to move on.

As expenses pile up and ownership of the house he shares with his mother is threatened, he becomes involved in a medical scam that would have him give false testimony against a dedicated doctor in exchange for money. Theater actor Giannis Karampampas, in his first leading film role, gives a mesmerizing performance and proves himself a screen actor to watch.

The body of a car accident victim awaits identification in the morgue of a remote coastal resort. As it unravels the series of events that led to the accident, the drama enters the realm of the uncanny, slowly revealing its mysteries, unfolding a compelling story of loss, acceptance and moving on.

Variety calls it “compelling” and says, “Zois is among a promising generation of emerging Greek filmmakers that have stepped out of the long shadow cast by the so-called Weird Wave to nurture their own distinctive, idiosyncratic voices.”
